Is stress getting the best of you? Modern life places a lot of pressure on us, and most of us were never taught how to manage stress and anxiety. What if we could find stability, resilience, and clarity amongst the chaos?
Mindfulness is a useful tool to build your self-awareness and to draw more effectively on your capabilities. This eight-week foundational course will help you develop your mindset and practice.
You will learn a range of techniques to cultivate an observant, accepting, and compassionate stance towards your internal experiences, as well as how to apply this to immediate life challenges.
Every Saturday, 29 February to 19 March. Each session is 2.5 hours, from 10:00am to 12:30pm. The course also includes an extra session—Day of Mindfulness, a silent retreat on 27 Feb, 10:00am to 4:00pm.
Kindly note that there are no makeup sessions available. Please ensure that you can attend all (or at least six) sessions. Your facilitator will provide remote guidance for the missed lessons, if needed.
Restorative Yoga, Yin Yang Yoga, Mindfulness
Danica’s journey with mindfulness started by chance, when she was conducting research in the field of exercise and sports studies. This led her to explore her own meditation practice, which in turn sparked a deeper interest in counselling psychology and neuroscience of mindfulness and yoga.
These days, Danica channels her focus into helping people experience mind-body balance. She teaches mindfulness, yoga therapeutics, and coaching programmes, such as the Mindful Schools curriculum for youth, and athlete performance programmes.
